JESUS, LORD OF YOUR WORK PART 8 OF 11

TEXT- EPHESIANS 6:5-9

INTRODUCTION

This morning is our theme day and we are emphasizing our 1996 theme which is, "Making Jesus Your Lord."

Each first Sunday of the month our church has been looking at the various ways that we need to make Jesus the lord of our individual lives.

Since tomorrow is Labor Day I would like us to consider how Jesus needs to be the lord of our work.

This morning our text is found in Ephesians 6:5-9 and I would like us to consider nine things that will characterize our work when Jesus is the lord of our work.

A boss was very upset with one of his workers and told him, "This is the end. You're fired!" "Fired?" the worker asked. "I thought slaves were sold!"

While Paul doesn't use the terms employee or employer in our text it should be clear that the principles he presents in these verses can be applied today.
