How To Benefit From The New Year
Text- Romans 12:1-3
Romans 12:1-3 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. 3For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
Introduction
If you were asked what our greatest need is as a church, what would your answer be?
With only a few more days left in 1994 and with 1995 just around the corner, I think it is important that we think about what we need as a church as well as individual Christians.
Some might say we need more people, more love, more fellowship, more outreach or more whatever.
I believe that our greatest need as a church as well as individual Christians is to live the Christian life as God intended.
Many people who claim to be Christians and hold membership in one of the Lord's churches need to begin living more like God intended for them to live.
Churches today are being hindered because their members are not living the Christian life.
Families are being hurt because the parents are not living an example of the Christian life.
The cause of Christ is being hurt because so many Christians are not serious about living the Christian life.
Today I would like us to consider four benefits of living the Christian life as God intended in this New Year.
