FINDING HELP WHEN YOU’RE IN TROUBLE

Life From A-Z in the Word Part 11 of 22

Psalm 119:81-88

How many of you have had some kind of problem this week?  Everyone has problems in their life.  In fact, we’re born naked, wet, and hungry.  Then things get worse.  Some days you’re the bug and some days you’re the windshield.

A little boy went into the grocery store and reading from a book told the grocer, "put down ten pounds of sugar at twenty cents a pound, four pounds of coffee at eighty cents a pound, two pounds of butter at seventy-two cents a pound, and two bars of soap at fifteen cents each."  "Ok, I've got that down," said the grocer.  "How much does that come to?" asked the boy.  "Six dollars and ninety-four cents."  "Well, if I gave you a ten dollar bill how much change would I get?" said the boy.  "Three dollars and six cents," said the impatient grocer. "Come on, I'm in a hurry."  "Oh, I don't want to buy them," said the boy as he disappeared through the door; "that's our arithmetic problem for tomorrow, and I needed some help with it."

Have you ever needed help with a problem in your life?  David did, and we can see three things in our text that he did to find help.

What do you do when you have trouble?
