Psalm 119:49-56

Tonight we’re going to continue with our study from Psalm 119. The theme of this chapter is “Life From A-Z in the Word.” Our text is found in verses 49-56.

In this seventh section David uses the Hebrew letter zayin to teach us what the Bible can do for us. The Bible is able to help you every day and in every aspect of your life.

Have you ever bought something and when you got it home it didn’t work like it was supposed to?

I once got a back massager as a Christmas present that didn’t work like it was supposed to. I should have known right away that it wasn’t going to work since it was wrapped up in a black garbage bag.

During this Christmas there are going to be a lot of people who get a brand new Bible as a gift. Some of these people don’t believe that the Bible works. They don’t think it can help them.

But those people who read, study and apply God’s Word to their life, know that it does work and that it can help them in many different ways. Here in our text, David mentions 5 benefits from the Word of God.
