VICTORY THROUGH THE SPIRIT Part 7 of 8
TEXT JUDGES 13:24-25; 14:6,19; 15:14
INTRODUCTION
Since today is our theme day I would like to speak you on the topic of living a victorious life.
Throughout the year I have been preaching from the book of Judges showing how God used certain individuals to deliver Israel from their enemies.
Through these people called "judges" God gave Israel the victory they needed.
Perhaps the most famous of all the judges was the man called Samson who is known for his great strength.
One day in the forest, three animals were discussing who among them was the most powerful. "I am," said the hawk, "because I can fly and swoop down swiftly at my prey." "That's nothing," said the mountain lion. "I'm not only fast, but I have strong teeth and jaws." "I'm the most powerful," said the skunk, "because with a flick of my tail, I can drive off the two of you." about that time a giant grizzly bear walked up and settled the debate by eating them all...hawk, lion, and stinker!
Our text today is found in Judges 13:24-25; 14:4-6, 17-19 and the title of my message is, "Victory Through The Spirit."
As we consider the victory that Samson had through the Holy Spirit I would like us to see four things that are necessary for us to have victory through the Holy Spirit today.
