HOW TO RESIST THE TEMPTATIONS OF SATAN
TEXT- 1 JOHN 1:10
1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make a liar out of God, and his word is not in us. (TEV)
INTRODUCTION
This morning I would like to speak on a subject that I hope will be very beneficial to those of you that are here today.
The title of my message this morning is,, "How To Resist The Temptations of Satan".
Before we look at this subject, I wonder how many of you yielded to Satan's temptations during the past week?
As God's people just because we are saved does not mean that we are not going to sin. As God's people we all have spiritual weaknesses that Satan knows about and uses against us from time to time.
Here in our text we are told that, "If we say that we have not sinned" we make God a liar and his word is not in us.
Because we are all sinners we should all want to know how we can better resist Satan's temptations when they are placed before us.
The word "resist" Webster says means, "to withstand". So, how can we as God's people withstand the attacks of Satan upon our lives?
