HOW YOU CAN TELL YOU LOVE JESUS

TEXT- 2 CORINTHIANS 5:11-16

INTRODUCTION

This morning we are going to continue with our study from the book of Second Corinthians which the Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Corinth.

In chapter five Paul mentions several things that should motivate us to become involved in the ministry or service of the lord.

In verses 1-8 he spoke about the motivation of having a new body in the future.  Then in verses 9-10 he spoke about the motivation of judgment.

Today our text is found in 2 Corinthians 5:11-16 and he is going to talk about the greatest motivation of all which is love.  The title of my message today is “How You Can Tell You Love Jesus.”

Two friends were talking about a young man who was accused of marrying a young lady because her Uncle had left her a million dollars.  "Oh, I don't think he's that kind of person." said one friend to the other.  "I think he would have married her no matter who left her the money."

What is it that motivates you to do the things you do?  As Christians we should do the things we do in our family, at our job, in our marriage, as well as our community and church because of the love that we have for Jesus.

This morning I would like us to examine six characteristics of a person who loves Jesus.
