THE RESPONSE TO GIVING
TEXT- 2 CORINTHIANS 8:6-15
INTRODUCTION
This morning we are going to continue with our study from the Book of Second Corinthians on the topic of, "The Response To Giving."
Last Sunday we learned about the problems, participation and priorities of the people in the churches of Macedonia regarding the offering that the apostle Paul was collecting for the saints in Jerusalem.
This morning I would like us to consider how the church in Corinth responded to this collection.
A family was returning home after the Sunday morning church service. The father criticized the sermon, the daughter thought the choir sang off-key, and the mother found fault with the organist's playing. The whole discussion came to an end, however, when the little boy of the family said, "but it was still a pretty good show for a nickel, don't you think, dad?"
This morning I would like us to look at three ways God wants me to respond to giving.
