HOW TO BECOME MORE GRATEFUL

Text- 2 Corinthians 9:12-15

INTRODUCTION

When we think about the word "thanksgiving" I am sure many people imagine a large beautiful table with relatives and friends sitting at it and all kinds of food spread out before them.

Some perhaps have forgotten that the word simply means, "giving thanks."

A businessman who had done pretty well came across an old friend who had come on hard times and was now a hobo.  Wanting to help his friend the businessman handed him a ten  dollar bill.  "Only ten dollars," whined the ungrateful man. "Last time you gave me fifty dollars." "Well, since then I got married, and we just had twins, so the expenses are mounting up," the businessman explained. "Oh," grumbled the hobo, "so your raising a family on my dough, huh?"

Our text today is found in 2 Corinthians 9:12-15 and the title of my message is, "How To Become More Grateful."

As we examine the passage before us I would like us to focus primarily on verse 15.

2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!   (NASB)

Here in this verse we find three things that are involved in thanksgiving.
