HOW TO STAY ENCOURAGED IN MINISTRY

Text- 2 Corinthians 13:11-14

Introduction

A church finished a week long revival and on the way home after the last day a wife asked her husband, "How did you like the Evangelist's sermon?"  "Well, frankly," he confessed, "I like our own pastor better." "Why is that?" his wife asked.  "It's the words they use," he explained. "Our preacher says, `In conclusion,' and then he concludes.  But the Evangelist says, `Lastly,' and he lasts."

This morning we are going to conclude our study from the book of Second Corinthians.

Our text is found in 2 Corinthians 13:11-14 and the title of my message is, "How To Stay Encouraged Tn Ministry".

Paul concludes this letter to the church in Corinth in the same spirit that he began it in chapter one.

Throughout this book he has encouraged the church in Corinth to become stay involved and be more involved in the ministry of the Lord.

Many churches today are like the church in Corinth in that they think they are doing enough for God already and don't appreciate being challenged to move out of their comfort zone.

Many today have become apathetic when it comes to their involvement in the Lord's ministry.  They make-up a myriad of excuses to justify their lack of involvement.

In these concluding remarks Paul encourages all us to do three things in order to stay encouraged in ministry.
