THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE SAVED PART 4
Text- Revelation 22:17
Introduction
This morning I would like to continue my series of messages on the Holy Spirit and look at "The Work of the Holy Spirit Among the Saved".
Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. (NIV)
The great preacher Charles Spurgeon wrote: "I have heard that in the deserts, when the caravans are in need of water, the leader is accustomed to send a camel with its rider some distance in advance. Then after a little space, another follows, and at a short interval, another. As soon as the first man finds water, almost before he stoops down to drink, he shouts aloud, 'Come!' The next rider, hearing the voice, repeats the word, 'Come!' and the nearest to him takes up the cry until the whole wilderness echoes with the one word, 'Come!'”
That is the work of the Holy Spirit. He invites all those who are spiritually thirsty and do not know Jesus to come and accept him as their personal savior and receive the free gift of the water of life.
Let's look now at what the work of the Holy Spirit is among those who are saved.
