CHANGING FROM THE INSIDE OUT - PART 2
Text - Romans 12:1-2
Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. (NIV)
INTRODUCTION
In my message last week I spoke to you about the subject of change. This morning I would like to continue with this message and speak to you about 3 more specific ways in which we as God's people need to change.
As individuals, we are constantly going through a physical change. Those of you who were here in our services last week have changed in several ways since last week and today you are not the same as you were last week.
Since last week your age has changed, today you are one week older than you were last week. Physically speaking you have grown older.
Since last week your minds have changed. Today you know more than you did last week.
Another way in which you have changed is in your outward appearance. Most of you and I hope all of you have changed your clothes since last week.
Yet I wonder how many of you have changed as much spiritually as you have physically since last week?
Today if I was to give you all a piece of paper and a pencil, and ask you to write down on it all the ways that you have changed spiritually since last week, I wonder how many ways you could list? Would you put down 10, 5, 3, 1 or would your piece of paper be blank?
This morning I would like to give you three ways in which we should change spiritually.
