JESUS, LORD OF YOUR ATTITUDE PART 6 OF 11

TEXT- PHILIPPIANS 2:5-8

INTRODUCTION

This morning is our theme day and we are emphasizing our 1996 theme which is, "The Church Where Jesus Is Lord."

Each first Sunday of the month I have been preaching a message on some aspect of the lordship of Jesus showing how we need to make Jesus the lord of our life.

This morning our text is found in Philippians 2:5-8 and the title of my message is, "Jesus, Lord Of Your Attitude."

A customer walked into a barbershop and sat down to get a haircut. "Before you begin," he said, "I want you to know that I like the weather that we are having, I have no interest in baseball or football, I do not want to hear who won the prize fights, I am not interested in the latest newspaper, and I don't want to discuss political issues. Now, go ahead with your work." The barber replied, "Okay. And if it won't offend you, sir, I will be able to do my work a lot better and faster if you don't talk so much."

Why is it that so many people today seem to have a bad attitude?

One reason is because Jesus is not their lord.

When Jesus is our savior and our lord it will change our attitude completely.

As we consider what Paul said in our text to the church in Philippi I would like us to see three ways to have the same attitude Jesus had.
