INTRODUCTION

Tonight I am going to continue with my series of messages on the topic, "How to have a magnificent marriage."

Our text is found in Song of Solomon 4:1-11 and the title of my message is, "Fanning the flames of romance."

On their sixtieth wedding anniversary, a reporter came to interview a couple. "What big problems have you had in your marriage?" he asked the elderly woman.

"Well, there's really been only two--Pa and the fire." "What do you mean, 'Pa and the fire'?" asked the reporter.

With a gleam in her eye, she explained, "When I paid too much attention to one the other went out!"
